Historic Inn, Quality Food, Great Location.
Welcome to The Loudoun Hill Inn & Visitor Centre
The Loudoun Hill Inn was established in 1869, and is situated opposite the famous Loudoun Hill which sits at the top of the Irvine Valley in East Ayrshire, Scotland.
The famous old Inn was taken over by the Lennox and Burns families in January 2006.
Gordon and Ann Lennox have been working in the licensed trade in Ayrshire for some years and partner Alex Burns is a top chef, having worked at Gleneagles and as a head chef for Raymond Blanc at Le Petit Blanc in Cheltenham.
The team have transformed the old inn, bringing it back to life with a substantial six-figure refurbishment. The first two stages of the upgrade of the building are now complete and the conservatory has recently been refurbished.
The former Women's Rural Institute Hall, which is next door to the Inn, has re-opened as a Cafe, Gift Shop and Visitor Centre. Work was completed in June 2010. The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week 10am to 5pm.
